Joan is a career educator, lover of poetry, and spinner of fiction. She recently retired after a remarkable 33-year teaching career, dedicating herself to shaping the minds of countless students and making a lasting impact on her community.

Joan is an avid cook, gardener, and master dog walker, and enjoys days spent with her own children and grandchildren. She is a founding member of the Salisbury Writers Group, and active in the Maryland Writers Association and the Eastern Shore Writers Association.
